Supplies are packaged sterile, and your IV Therapy Specialist cleans the insertion site with alcohol to prevent bacteria from entering your system. It should be noted that all medical therapies carry a risk, therefore it is important for you to understand the risks, benefits, and alternatives and to receive therapies only from certified medical personnel.

Make sure you drink plenty of water before your appointment. This helps make your veins pronounced and makes the catheter easier to insert. It may also help to have a light meal prior to your IV Therapy treatment.
